People of Influence Episode 43
Welcome to Unleashing the Champion within. Today, I am sharing a message called People of Influence, which I gave at a Women on the Frontline Conference.
I felt like the topic was so important, I had it transcribed for both my Podcast and Blog. I know this word will help you realize how much influence you really have!
I’m very, very excited. I cannot wait to share this with you. And I wanted to mention, you know Patricia talked about our names last night and how important the meaning of our names are to us.
When I was married, I dropped my last name and I just kept my middle name, because my last name had a lot of pain attached to it. So I just got rid of it and I just thought I'm going to go Cynthia Diane Stewart.
About 20+ years ago, God said you need to take your last name back, because you're missing the anointing that it carries.

Investing in Your Future Episode 38
“Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make.
It will not only improve your life —
It will improve the lives of all those around you.”
Robin Sharma
Each week, I end my Podcast and Blog with, “Remember You are the best investment you can make.” This week I thought we should discuss why this statement is true and why it applies to everyone!
The reason you are your best investment is because you were born to be significant. As you live a life of significance, you empower others in their significance. In other words, YOU carry worth, greatness and value and what you do impacts other. You are an influencer for the time you live in.
Recently, I was telling my daughter, Katie, how proud I was of the success she has had in her business. She owns a hair salon and had just invested in training to expand her hair extension business. She said within the first three weeks she had met her 1st quarter goal. WOW!
Why is it important to invest in yourself? Listen to the podcast for more...

Lessons from My Mom Episode 36
What’s time to a hog?
Anonymous
My mom was beautiful, creative and she was witty, charming and smart. She was known for her quirky little sayings, like What’s Time to a Hog?, More to be Pitied than Censored, Dime to a Donut, and my favorite Beauty must Suffer.
Her focus was to always finding the best in every situation. I never remember her complaining or worrying. For example, when we were running short on groceries, she would whip up something incredible for dinner — which usually included eggs — as she would say, if you have eggs you have dinner.
There are many things I learned from my mom.
Today I want to share the Top 5 that stand out for me.

Cars, Negotiating and Business Episode 35
Dad’s is the voice that urges kids to go higher and says,
“I know you can do it.
Why don’t you get up and try again?”
I am writing today on what would have been my dad’s 86th birthday. I want to share a few of the lessons I learned from my dad. He was gregarious and lots of fun, not to mention a genius – literally Genius IQ. He loved all kinds of cars, but his favorite was his pickup truck, especially when the camper was on and he was heading to the lake to fish. He also believed everything was negotiable, it doesn’t matter what he was buying, he always asked for a better price! This made him very successful in business.
Many of his lessons were valuable and have helped me advance in life. I am excited to share those. Then there were a few painful ones that created barriers for me that I have been able to move past. I will share those another time.

A Pivotal Point in My Childhood Episode 34
I am what I am. I love me! And I don't mean that egotistically -
I love that God has allowed me to take whatever it was that I had
and to make something out of it.
~ Stevie Wonder
I want to share a little bit about pivotal markers and my journey.
Each of us has pivotal markers in our lives. However, there are two I want to share in a very transparent way with you today, and how it has helped shape me into the person I am today.
