Training Yourself to Rest Episode 33
Have you trained yourself to rest?
It is like anything else you want to excel in — you have to set your schedule to rest.
It is Saturday morning, which would normally be my day of rest and relaxation. But I am writing my weekly Unleashing the Champion Within podcast and blog. I realized since the first of the year I have not been diligent at rest and relaxation.
Rest is time when you are not engaged in regular work.
Rest is where your mind is no longer engaged in the issues of your job.
How do we train ourselves to rest?

Find Your Voice - Release Your Message Episode 32
It took me quite a long time to develop a voice,
and now that I have it,
I am not going to be silent.
~ Madeleine K. Albright
Former United States Secretary of State
Do you want to really be heard?
As you discover your voice, people will listen to your message when they hear your heart.
Madeleine Albright found her voice. “Though she was often one of the few women in the room (and many times, the only one), she did not sit silently; she realized that if she only observed and listened, she wouldn’t get a chance to speak, which meant the voice of the United States wouldn’t be heard."
One of her key messages she voiced while in office was raising up women into governmental positions around the world. She believed the problems were better understood and the solutions had a fuller perspective, when men and women worked through them together.
How do you find your voice and let your message be released?

Small Changes to Your Next Great Thing Part 2
Episode 31
What you do tomorrow —
depends on the steps you take today.
~ Cindy Stewart
Did you know if you implement these 5 Small Steps into your daily routine you will achieve your next great thing? It is true!
In my business, I help people discover their dreams and develop a blueprint to turn their dreams into reality. What I have discovered in working with others, and in my own life too, is the need of a framework for each day.
The framework provides structure and support for what we need to complete our 5 Small Steps each day. And the framework also prepares us for tomorrow by using the momentum from what we accomplished today.
Remember how we would draw a house as a child?
We would draw the floor, then two walls, and finally two sides of a roof. It took five lines to build our house.
The five lines it takes to draw our house equate to our 5 Small Steps in building our daily framework.
What are the 5 Small Steps in our daily Framework?
"Listen" to the podcast to find out!

Small Changes Bring Great Things
Episode 30
Great things are not done by impulse,
but by a series of small things brought together.
~ Vincent Van Gogh
Take a moment and remember a great thing you have accomplished. Every accomplishment basically has the same framework. Ask yourself these questions:
— What was the first step I took to get started?
— What were some of the missteps?
— What were some of the victories?
— How long did it take to reach the goal?

Building Your Tribe Episode 29
“Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family.
Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.”
~ Jane Howard
A tribe is a unique group of people who connect with you to take you with them on your journey. They are a community to share life in specific areas like health, business, working moms, authors — the list is endless.
You need a tribe to lead!
Why?

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed
by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do,
so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor,
catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore, Dream, Discover."
~ Mark Twain - Author.

Do One Thing Everyday that Scares YOU!
~ Eleanor Roosevelt
What if you could schedule a little time each day to work on your dream?
For me, the first step began with tracking my time. My Blog last week includes a Time Management Log, with instructions on how to find extra time in your day. (Read at www.cindy-stewart.com)
Today we are talking about the next step — making a daily schedule to incorporate your dreams. I have designed a Live Your Dream Schedule (LYDS), which was first introduced in my Live Your Dream Class.
“Always, Always have a plan!” Rick Riordan
Before we begin planning, I want to share a few misperceptions about planning.
1) Planning is time consuming.
Yes, the initial blueprint takes time to develop. However, once you have built the blueprint it only takes time to fill in the blanks.
2) Planning kills creativity.
Actually the opposite is true. When you plan you can provide for the time needed to be creative.
3) Planning stagnates progress.
Did you know planning actually accelerates your process? Writing your plan down increases the chances of completing your plan by 80%.
So, let’s start the planning process.

Making Time for Your Dream Episode 26
“Time is free, but it's priceless.
You can't own it, but you can use it.
You can't keep it, but you can spend it.
Once you've lost it you can never get it back.”
~ Harvey McKay ~
Imagine the freedom you would have if you could add an extra two hours or even an hour or thirty minutes to your day. How would you spend your extra time? Would you write a book, play golf or spend time with your family? Each day you could CHOOSE how you wanted to use your time!
I discovered how to make time for my dreams by looking at how I scheduled my day. In doing this I realized the planning of my day was very inefficient. Once I began tracking my time each day, I immediately identified two time eaters.

Finishing Well Episode 25
Beginning well is a momentary thing;
Finishing well is a lifelong thing.
~ Ravi Zacharias ~
One of the greatest legacies we can leave is to finish life well. This is actually a principle found in the Bible, “...let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us.” (Hebrews 12:1, AMP) It is in the normal everyday we can learn to apply this principle.
I use the term Lame Duck when I experience someone who doesn’t endure until the end. Someone who is waiting for their time, in a specific role, to be completed and has eased up in their effectiveness.
For example, they are moving from one job to the next without completing the tasks at hand. This keeps them from finishing well.
Here are three outcomes from this type of behavior.
